Artist Name: Rio Bahia
Genre: Bossa Nova, Samba
Country: Brazil

Artist Bio:

The pulse and energy of Rio in the '60s are faithfully resurrected in this surprisingly well executed recording — surprising in that the group's two leaders, vocalist Al Alabado and guitarist Aretie Grijalva, aren't from Rio. In fact, they're not Brazilian.
However, few recent releases of this genre have so faithfully presented bossa nova and samba so far north of the equator.

This is the sort of release that one might recommend for stress reduction and relaxation.

Al Alabado and guitarist Artie Grijalva lead a group that includes pianist Guillerme Vergueiro, bassist Octavio Bailly, drummer Robertinho Silva, percussionist Meia-Noite, and saxophonist/flautist Don Menza through 13 Brazilian jazz numbers.
