Ranarim

Ranarim consists of two folk singers from northern and central Sweden, a world champion nyckelharpist (keyed-fiddle) from the southernmost tip of Sweden, and a guitarist from the capital city of Stockholm. This powerful foursome met while in music school in Stockholm. Ranarim began with a tour of northern Norway in 1997 and it whet their appetite.

Their repertoire is taken from the rich treasure of Swedish folk music as a whole, not specializing in any particular region. Rhythmic tunes and peculiar melodies from the Middle Ages that tell exciting stories inspire the group to make music.
