Artist Bio:

One of Africa's greatest guitarists, Fan Fan shot to fame in the '60s as sidekick to the late Luambo "Franco" Mikiadi in OK Jazz, described by Mojo as "perhaps the most important dance band in African history." Fan Fan was instrumental in developing their Congolese rumba sound: soukous.

After moving to East Africa in the mid '70s, he formed the band Somo Somo. A decade later he had moved to London, and here he has stayed. Last year he released the inspired Congo Acoustic album.
