Artist Bio: 

Maré Sanogo was born in 1951 in the village of Makono, not far from Bamako in Mali. His musical skills quickly enabled him to join the National Ballet Company, with whom he played from 1966 to 1981. He became the first soloist, taking on a determining role in the artistic dimension of the Mali ballets.

This artistic experience encouraged him to come to France, where he worked with various group and artists, such as Lamine Konté, Robert Hossein, André Cecarelli, Hank Jones, Cheik Tidiane Seck, and others. He has also been working with choreographer Norma Claire for several years.
