Artist Name: La Gran Orquesta Republicana
Country: Spain

Artist Bio:

La Gran Orquesta Republicana is a band born in Mallorca, Spain, in 1997. The band was created by a group of musicians whose main purpose was to prompt people, through their mixed music and ideas, to dance and to think, to laugh and to fight against boredom, apathy, single-mindedness and indifference.

La Gran Orquesta Republicana embraces all music styles, mixing and matching the most distorted punk guitars with the great Caribbean percussion; the slowest rhythms of reggae and groove with the fastest hardcore rock styles; the sweetest melodies with the most aggressive and rebellious songs, ska with pop, rock with reggae . . . .

Lyrics are very important to the band, and they include their own writings as well as texts from different poets and writers such as Eduardo Galeano and Mario Beneditti, from Uruguay.

All of this makes La Gran Orquesta Republicana a very varied and eclectic band where there is no time for boredom — perfect to make your day a happy one!
