Shot-firer with Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa, composer of the two hits in Jeff Buckley's album Grace and Mojo Pin, Gary Lucas is a guitarist easily recognizable through his phrasing and sound.

Extremely open to the world, he uses his guitars to serve astonishing projects. His first album at Label Bleu is one of these very personal projects. It is actually made up of Chinese pop songs from the '40s kept by Gary in his luggage for over 20 years following a two-year eventful stay in Taiwan. —Courtesy Calabash Music
