Artist Bio: 

The Mocidade, founded un 1957, quickly became one of the finest samba schools, thanks in particular to its bateria or percussion group, Nota 10, which was named after the highest score given by the jury at Carnival parades. The bateria soon grew from its original 27 percussionnists to a membership over 300-strong. Under the direction of the legendary Mestre André, the bateria has been elected the best samba percussion group in Brazil for several years running.
