He was of the first to receive training in Ki-Yi, training received from Were Were Liking, the founder of Ki-Yi Village in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) created in 1985 with the aim of making the arts (dance, theater, percussion, singing, painting, etc.) accessible to all.

Since the mid-'80s, Boni Gnahore has taken part, as actor and percussionist, in all the important pieces in the Ki-yi Mbock repertoire (Ki-yi = Knowledge; Mbock = of the Universe).

Since then, he's taken part in a lot of original creation, such as Un touareg a épousé une pygmée with Ray Lema. In 1996 he formed the Attoungblan Chorus and presented his own shows: "Le passeur" and "Les évadés." —Courtesy Calabash Music
