Artist Name: Bob Holroyd
Genre: World Fusion
Country: United Kingdom

Artist Bio:

Bob Holroyd's music has been described by some as a collage of seemingly disparate styles and instrumentation producing ambient, global electronica, world chill, abstract dance and new age classical sound.

Holroyd is the founder of Soundscape Music Production, based in England since 1987. The cinematic quality of much of Bob's work provided him a successful career in writing music for TV documentaries and "production music" — music used by makers of industrial films and corporate audio/visual productions.

His first commercial album, Fluidity & Structure, was inspired by travels to both Africa and Asia. Songs feature samples from recordings made by Holroyd himself on location in Kenya and Gambia. A Different Space, Holroyd's third full-length CD, is rich with wailing Indian shahnai, breathy wood flutes, and yodeling African voices. —Courtesy Calabash Music
