Artist Name: Bäsk
Genre: Nordic Folk
Country: Sweden

Artist Bio:

Three Swedish masters -- Jonas Simonson (from Groupa and Den Fule) on flutes, Sten Kallman (Simbi, Den Fule) on saxes and percussion, and fiddler Hans Kennemark (Forsmark Tre) -- bring fresh arrangements to the acoustic Nordic sound, taking melodies designed for solo fiddle and arranging them for a trio.

The instrumentation changes from fiddle-flute-soprano saxophone to fiddle backed by bass and baritone sax. In between, you'll hear Simonson's assorted flutes (for instance the salgflojt), and various percussion instruments played by Sten Kallman. —Courtesy Calabash Music
