Review:
Here's a group that remind us just how much music we can make without picking up or plugging in an instrument. Les Charbonniers De LâEnfer (The little coal miners from Hell) are five superb singers (two of whom have tenured with the famed La Bouttine Souriante) from Canada who have unearthed gems of Quebecois folk music and given them inspired a capella interpretations. They have been burning up the festival circuit north of the border and gaining loyal fans for the past ten years. Au Diable les Avocats (the devil take lawyers) is from this latest release is a wry song about being married off to a rich man and fated to a loveless bed truly a match made in Hell!
