Review:
The twentieth volume of the Ethiopiques series is a special one. The Either/ Orchestra is an American jazz band. After he had discovered Mahmoud Ahmed in 1988 with Era mèla mèla, Russ Gershon, The E/O leader couldn't imagine that he will play his"Ethiopian suite" in Addis Ababa sixteen years later with Mulatu Astaqé or Bahta Gèbrè-Heywèt.That record is live from this concert, the first of an American band in Addis Ababa since Duke Ellington in 1973. Released in 2005.
