Review:
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the southeast Asian mega-hit, Kartini Music is proud to announce the re-issue of the first Sabah Habas Mustapha album, recorded in 1993 in Jakarta, Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Track listing is the same as the European release of 1994 plus two tracks previously only available on the Japanese release: "Rindu" and Sabah Habas outhumperdinking Engelbert with his take on "The Last Waltz" plus extra bonus-tracks of the original demo-version of "Denpasar Moon" and a previously unreleased track from the 3 Mustaphas 3 Jakarta sessions - Hank Williams' "Lost Highway"
"A very wonderful and addictive oddity - Dangdut and Sundanese styles performed with musicians in Jakarta with global rhythms and English lyrics. The Indonesians liked these curious fusions so much that they were plundered in innumerable cover versions." - Rough Guide to World Music", Penguin Books
