The Albanian polyphonic lyrical songs and love songs are the oldest. The original texts are often erotics and in some case are bawdy. The censorship imposed in Albania under its numerous totalitarian regimes have made the people "officially" change these lyrics. Nonetheless, the original verses are considered to be the source of Albanian music. The Ensemble Tirana recorded this album in tirbute to this underground culture. Released in 1998.
