Being a gypsy is just as much as a state of mind as it is an ethnic group, and the members of Nomads Land come from different horizons.

Martin Shaeffer is from Silesia in western Poland and received Russian violin training. He created Nomads Land with Maylis Guiard Shmid, his violin student. She also sings in Romany, Russian, Rumanian and African languages. Michel Nourry, piano and accordion, and Thierry Blandin guitar and harp complete the band.
