Kilema is from a family of musicians. He started using his voice at an early age, already singing in a children group and participating in vocal and onomatopoetic competitions.
He draw his inspiration from his roots: ethnic and local music, work songs and country sources. He plays kabosy, katsa and marovany, as these instruments are highly representative of Madagascan traditional music.
