Realizing that a change of show was needed for the American audience, the Juno Reactor live show switched from the standard dark, somber set to a visually spectacular show. Ben provided the techno and rocking guitar riffs while Amampondo, clad in body paint and full costume, provided a unique visual element. This wasn't a clichéd case of "ethnic" vocal wails over driving techno beats but instead a genuine collision of diverse musical cultures feeding from each other to provide a unique live experience.
Their latest recording is Juno Reactor doing what they have always done and what they do best: pushing the music in new directions and constantly challenging the concept of what an electronic-based band should be. Courtesy Calabash Music
