Istanbul Blues Kumpanyasi

Istanbul Blues Kumpanyasi was founded by Sarp Keskiner and Salih Nazim Peker in October 1993. At the very beginning, they got on their way with the traditions of Afro-American music. And with their debut album they have formed an experimental platform for the musicians in Turkey who are interested in blues, soul, improvisation and ethnic music.

Their latest album, Sair Zamanlar, gathers traditional Turkish music melodies and instruments with blues and could carry their music all over the world. —Courtesy Calabash Music
