Fanga Fing is Di Fresh, Djah Franco and Yeli Fuzzo. Previously, they had called themselves Black Authority, but when the personnel changed, the guys took the opportunity to rename the group in Bambara, their native language.
From the Bamako neighborhood of Djelibougou, Fanga Fing has risen through the Malian hip-hop scene to become one of the leading acts today.
Their first single became the best selling rap title in 1999. Following up on this success, Fanga Follo is released with guest appearances by some of Mali's biggest non-rap stars.
Fanga Fing has continued to make their mark on the Malian scene, moving on from the departure of Yeli Fuzzo to his studies in the U.S.A., and continuing to make original, positive hip-hop. Courtesy Calabash Music
