A native of Agadir, Morocco, Driss El Maloumi is one of the most talented oud players in his generation. Accompanied by Lahoucine Baquir on percussion, he leads us into a musical reverie that encompasses not only his Berber musical heritage but the Oriental and Western traditions beyond academic clichés.
