Daniel Taubkin presents a wide spectrum of the Brazilian musical universe, picturing the sounds and nature of Brazil with a poignant lyricism and contemporary sense. Dori Caymmi, Nailor "Proveta" Azevedo, Egberto Gismonti, Rodolfo Stroeter, Mane Silveira and the great Brazilian poet Thiago de Mello are a few of the artists who accompany Daniel on this recording. Dori Caymmi and Egberto Gismonti also contribute to the arrangements on this wonderful CD dedicated to Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Daniel Taubkin is a singer, composer and arranger, endowed with an unusual voice, ranging from the low to sharp notes with a peculiar tone color.
Daniel is also the co-founder of one of Brazil's most significant nationwide ecological movements, and has been fighting for the preservation of the Pantanal, an extremely important South American reserve located where Brazil borders Paraguay and Bolivia, along the Paraguay River.
