Chemiranis

Djamchid Chemirani is considered to be one of master Teherani's most gifted students. When he moved to Paris in 1961, he became the most active advocate for the zarb outisde of Iran. Djmachid students are none other than his two sons, Keyvan and Bijan, two percussionists who have been in high demand for several years now. And so the Chemiranis trio was born in 1988, like nothing ever seen in the West. —Courtesy Calabash Music
