Armando Garzon, also known as "The Black Angel With the Velvet Voice," is considered Santiago de Cuba's most important soloist.
In his early years, Armando studied music at the Santiago School and went on to pursue an engineering degree. Before long, he dedicated himself to music; he soon left classical music to sing the boleros and sones that he had heard in his home growing up. Courtesy Calabash Music
