BBB Returns With "Part Of The Glory"

Each week Nat Geo Music scours the far reaches of the internet to bring you the coolest new videos from around the globe.

This week, we return to Israel, where our old friends - and Nat Geo Music label artists - Balkan Beat Box have shot their latest video, "Part of the Glory", for their new album Give, released March 3rd, on Nat Geo Music.

"Part Of The Glory" is a meditation on the role of social media and YouTube, which horn player Ori Kaplan describes as "how we all have something unique in us; how we have these glorious talents that we display on YouTube. But how in spite of that we live with this shadow society of migrant workers and 'illegal aliens' who run the engines of our world, and how we choose to ignore them in real life."

Directed by Billy Levy, the video was shot at the Tachana bus terminal in Tel Aviv's most diverse neighborhood: Neve Shaanan The video features various groups and individuals from the community, including the Fi-Hankra dancers, a group founded in 2010 by Ghanaian artists who aspire to share traditional African culture through their drumming and dance; the Lions of Zion, a Street Art Production break-dance crew; world-renowned classical pianist Gila Goldstein; jump rope artist Abra Kayne; and children from the Bialik-Rogozin School in Tel Aviv.

And if you're in Austin, Texas next Saturday, don't forget to come past Nat Geo Music's SXSW Showcase, at The Stage on Sixth on Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at 8.00 pm, featuring Balkan Beat Box, Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, Jimmy Cliff and more!
