Watch Brand New Video From Sierra Leone's Finest
by Tom PryorIf you don't know about Brooklyn electro-dancehall-hip-hip-funksters Bajah & The Dry Eye Crew, you will soon.
Originally from Freetown, Sierra Leone, but now residing in NYC, they've been making a big splash on the city's reggae and hip hop scenes lately, and just last weekend Bajah and company tore down Prospect Park at The Roots' OkayAfrica concert - and followed that up with the unveiling of a brand new website and release of a brand new video earlier this week.
Released in anticipation of their group's upcoming debut album (coming out this fall on One Haven Records), "Jacky Jacky" (produced by Rashad Smith) updates "The Aunt Jacky" for 2010.
In the video Bajah returns to his native Sierra Leone to teach the village of Tokah - including kids, elders and fishermen - how to get down Brooklyn style.
Don't sleep!
