Mini-Doc on Swedish Musician's Latest Project
For her latest recording project Swedish musician Victoria Bergsman, known by her artist name Taken by Trees, wanted to record in a relatively uncharted location to create an artistic environment that transcended the clinical ambiance of modern recording studios. Despite warnings from the Swedish government not to go, she chose Pakistan. The experience led to significant challenges like rampant sexism and unreliable electricity, but yielded a stunningly beautiful album, East of Eden.
Through footage filmed in Pakistan and Bergsman's personal reflections this mini-documentary (watch below) recounts the project from conception to realization.
