The Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF), held annually in Malaysia, celebrates it 10th anniversary—and the 50th anniversary of Malaysian nationhood - with a diverse roster of 20 artists from around the world.

This year's lineup features an all star cast of returning artists, all of whom have played the festival at least once before. While most of the bands are making their second appearances in this year's festival, a few acts, such as Inka Marka (Peru), Black Umfolosi (Zimbabwe), Shooglenifty (Scotland) and Aseana Percussion Unit (Kuala Lumpur) will be making their third appearances.

Other artists include Huun Huur Tu (Tuva) and Malerji (Russia), Khac Chi (Vietnam), Ensemble Kaboul (Afghanistan), Shannon (Poland), Garifuna Allstars (Belize), Foghorn Stringband (USA), Tarika Be (Madagascar), Tammora (Italy), Mas Y Mas (UK), Doghouse Skiffle Band (UK), Mah Meri (Kuala Lumpur) and Randy Raine Reusch (Canada).

Sharing the stage with these international artists will be local Sarawak groups such as Anak A'dik Rurum, Jerry Kamit, Taboh Pak Ainal and Lun Bawang Bamboo Band.

This year's Rainforest World Music Festival will be held July 13th—15th in the Sarawak region of the island of Borneo. For further info, including ticketing and accomodation, please consult the RWMF website.
