The Music on Film-Film on Music (MOFFOM), International Festival of Music Films annouced an open call for entries for the 2006 season. The festival takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, from October 18-22, 2006.

Now in its third year, the MOFFOM festival is a non-competitive event focused on introducing music-related films from around the world. The festival places special emphasis on world music documentaries and videos, and has emerged as one of the premiere venues for showcasing world music on film. In 2005, the festival introduced 117 films and videos in total, including documentary, dramatic feature, experimental music shorts and music videos from 41 countries worldwide. Some of last year's entries included El milagro de Candeal, Festival in the Desert: The Tent Sessions, Brasileirinho and the premiere of British filmaker Don Letts' Sun Ra: The Brother From Another Planet.

All types of music films including feature film, documentary, and animation are invited to submit by the July 20th deadline. Festival Regulations and Entry Forms are available online at www.moffom.org.
