Manu Chao Launches U.S. Summer Tour
First Stateside Tour In Five Years
by Global Rhythm Magazine NewsManu Chao, former leader of genre-hopping 1980s group Mano Negra and artist behind the critically acclaimed albums Clandestino, Proxima Estacion: Esperanza and Radio Bemba Sound System Live, will be embarking on a short U.S. tour, his first in five years, in July.
Chao recently toured Latin America to rapturous response, including a show at Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes in front of 18,000 fans. He also played Guadalajara, Caracas, Santiago and many other cities.
