Latin Alternative Music Conference Announces 2006 Artist & Panelist Schedule

Influential Conference Returns To New York City, August 2nd–5th

The Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) recently announced its full lineup of artists and panelists for its 2006 edition, to be held in New York City, August 2nd–5th.

This year's lineup will include performances from Chilean rock icons Los Tres, Catalan electronica duo The Pinker Tones, Mexican electropop stars Belanova, Tijuana pop-punkers Delux, Spanish rockers Pecker, Latin crunk sensation Pitbull, and New York Latin Hip-Hop crew Tres Coronas. Panelists and speakers will include representatives from ASCAP, BMI, Fuse TV, Sony/BMG Latin, MTV Latin America, eMusic, Myspace, and Batanga.

LAMC, now in its seventh year, is a key annual event for the Latin alternative music community. The conference bills itself as an event that "provides networking opportunities with the genre's leading artists, label executives, journalists, marketers, managers, retailers and programmers [...] the most extensive to be offered by a music conference to date."

Panels, registration and the trade fair will be held in New York's landmark Puck Building, while showcases and free concerts will be held at various venues around New York, including Central Park Summerstage, Celebrate Brooklyn Festival at the Prospect Park Bandshell, and the Museo del Barrio.
