This holiday season will feature candles in the window, family gatherings—and a new holiday tradition, courtesy of The Klezmatics. Kicking off November 30th, the innovative ambassadors of Yiddish culture and eclectic musicianship will be celebrating the festival of lights with a twist, as they launch their first ever tour performing the Hanukkah songs of Woody Guthrie.

The tour will highlight songs from the recently released Woody Guthrie's Happy Joyous Hanukkah (JMG), a collection of never before published Hanukkah lyrics penned by Guthrie—born of the legendary songwriter's deep married life in Coney Island—and arranged and performed by The Klezmatics.

The tour will be a new high mark in an incomparable year for The Klezmatics. The group recently released two albums, Happy Joyous Hanukkah and Wonder Wheel (also with Yiddish-themed lyrics By Woodie Guthrie). The former promises to be a breakout holiday hit and the latter has already been recognized as one of the year's best.
