New York's JDub Records recently announced the sixth annual edition of their travelling Hanukkah party, Jewltide, to take place in multiple cities throughout the U.S. throughout the month of December.

This year's Jewltide events will feature several bands from the JDub stable, including Spanish indie rockers DeLeon, and the genre-mixing, superstar collective The Sway Machinery (pictured), which boasts members of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Balkan Beat Box and Antibalas. In addition, veteran Gypsy-punk band Golem will be playing a selection of dates previewing material from their upcoming February release, Citizen Boris.

The Jewltide event has grown since it began in 2003. Originally a local party featuring bands from JDub's burgeoning roster of new Jewish music-themed bands, the racous Hannukah party soon expanded from Brooklyn club Southpaw to include other cities around the country. By 2005 Boston, San Francisco and L.A. were all hosting Jewltide parties, and last year JDub hosted events in over 10 cities, including New York, DC, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Moscow, Seattle and Mumbai.

Coinciding with the tour will be the release of JDub Presents: Jewltide!, a Jewy holiday mixtape. This digital-only compilation from the JDub catalogue is out on iTunes. Amongst other gems, the mix will feature "Ocho Kandelikas", an unreleased cover by Deleon. This 1960's Sephardic Hanukkah standard is basically the Jewish response to "12 Days of Christmas." Balkan Beat Box remixes and unreleased tracks from their upcoming remix album Nu Made are featured, alongside a previously unreleased DJ Spooky remix of Sagol 59's "Leeches." The mix also includes exclusive content by comedian Michael Showalter.
