Spanish Singer/Songwriter DePedro Performs Live And Direct For Nat Geo Music
Madrid-based singer/songwriter Jairo Zavala, a.k.a. DePedro, has seen the world as a touring member of Southwestern roots-rockers Calexico. But now he's stepping out on his own with his international solo debut, DePedro on our very own Nat Geo Music label.
Recorded in Calexico's hometown of Tucson, AZ, DePedro blends Zavala's homegrown Spanish melodies with the sounds and sensibilities of the Arizona border town. Last year Zavala came through Washington, D.C. and recorded a special episode of Geo Sessions previewing the DePedro project.
