Pioneering world music DJ Cheb i Sabbah is scheduled to release a new remix record, La Ghriba: La Kahena Remixed on Tuesday, June 13, 2006. For this album, Sabbah personally selected a team of 11 remixers to further transform and morph the music of his 2005 release La Kahena. Remixers include: Temple of Sound, Bill Laswell and newcomers Fnaïre, Bassnectar, the Chakadoons and Yossi Fine.

On 2005's La Kahena, Algerian-born Cheb i Sabbah returned to his North African roots. Collaborating with a wide variety of North African female singers, Sabbah created contemporary folklore, rich with the authenticity of trance ceremonies filtered through the magic of his trademark production skills. La Kahena garnered both critical acclaim and worldwide and retail success reaching #6 on the Billboard World Charts and #3 on the iTunes World Chart in its first month of sales.

From bhangra to Moroccan street rap, from trance to dub, the remix collaborations on La Ghriba: La Kahena Remixed span the many facets of the outernational dance-floor.
