Review:
Fiamma Fumana's third album is called Onda, which means "wave." The ancestral Italian sounds of bagpipe and accordion remain, with female vocals coming to the fore thanks to energetic new vocalist Lisa Kant. Onda was produced by Peter Walsh (who's worked with Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, and AfroCelts). The lead track (and video) "Prendi l'Onda" features raps from Italian megastar Jovanotti & British MC Navigator (of Asian Dub Foundation).Onda is dedicated to the late producer Martyn Bennett, Scotsman, piper and DJ. — CalabashMusic.com |
