Review:

THE EPIC OF GILGAMESH (2500BC) is the most famous work that survives from ancient Mesopotania. It tells us the story of a friendship born of a rivalry and developed is situations of extreme peril and adventures undertaken together, but that ultimately ends in death… The two heros of the tale just didn't know when to stop, and from victory to victory they continuously infuriated the gods who reacted by striking down Enkidou. His partner, Gilgamesh, was then struck by a realisation of his own mortality and so began a quest for the secret of immortality, leading ultimately to calmness and wisdom . . . ( Originaly album by Abed Azrie released in 1977)
